(CMR) The Cayman Islands has already won nine medals, 4 golds, 1 silver, and 4 bronze, at the 2023 International Island Games currently underway in Guernsey.
All the medals so far have come from swimming events at the Island Games taking place from the 8-14 July.
Alison Jackson won the latest gold medal in the women's 50m freestyle on Wednesday. Kyra Rabess also won gold in the Women's 400m freestyle Wednesday after winning gold in the women’s 1500m freestyle on night two.
Rabess and Jackson were also a part of the 4x50m freestyle relay team that won silver on Monday. Others on the team included Sarah Jackson and Veronika Fankina.

Will Sellars also won gold in the men's 200m backstroke on Wednesday, also his second after winning gold with a new personal best of 16:11.60 in the men’s 1500m freestyle on Monday. He also won a bronze medal in the 400m
Alison Jackson won bronze with 2:05.46 in the women’s 200m freestyle. Jake Bailey also won bronze in the 100m butterfly.
The Cayman Islands is participating in several sports, including badminton, tennis., track and field, cycling and table tennis.
