(CMR) A blue 1999 Honda Civic Hatchback was torched last night after being stolen from the Washington Boulevard area of George Town.
CMR posted around 9:00 pm that the vehicle was stolen after 7:00 pm from a residence in the area commonly known as Swamp. This morning we received confirmation that the car was located in another area of George Town known as Rock Hole off Mary Street.
CMR sources indicate that Rock Hole residents have been very mum about the vehicle and how it ended up in their neighborhood. However, there has been a trend in recent times for people to steal or burglar vehicles and then set them on fire. CMR reported on several vehicles last month that were also set ablaze.
At this time the owners of the vehicle are hopeful that someone will come forward and offer some tips so that the responsible parties can be brought to justice.
