(CMR) Cayman was victorious earlier today against Guyana in the CONCACAF U20 3:2 this morning.
In a closely played match that saw the teams tied at two different occasions Cayman edged out out Guyana for the win. Guyana was considered the favorite to win the match but Cayman proved they could still be a force to be contended with.
This is historical championship where all 34 Member Association of CONCACAF are contesting the Concacaf U-20 Championship at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida USA.
The 2018 CONCACAF Under-20 Championship will be the 6th edition of the tournament hoested in Bradenton, Florida between 1-21 November 18. A new format was announced, removing the regional Central American and Caribbean qualifiers and guaranteeing each entrant a minimum of four competitive games.
Unlike previous tournament, there was no qualification for this edition, and a total of 34 teams directly entered the final tournament.
On Sunday Cayman lost to El Salvador 3-1. Cayman will play Guatemala on Thursday (8 November) and Curacao on Saturday (10 November) to finish the group stage.
