(CMR) Four men have been formally charged with Conspiracy to Commit Robbery in relation to the armed robbery of the Digicel store on North Church Street last year.
The men, ages 21, 22, and 28 of Bodden Town and age 22 of George Town were arrested following the armed robbery of the commercial premises.
They appeared before the court today, Tuesday. 23 April. The men have been bailed with conditions and will reappear before the court on 14 May 2024.
The RCIPS reported that shortly after 5:30 pm, Friday, 19 May 2023, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the business just north of Mary Street in George Town. It was reported that two masked men entered the store, each brandishing a firearm, and demanded cash from the register and safe. They then fled through the rear entrance of the store with a quantity of cash. No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the incident.
Officers attended the scene and conducted inquiries and shortly afterward located a vehicle in George Town, which is suspected to have been used by the men.
