(CMR) A court in Trinidad and Tobago has closed after one of its employees came into contact with a confirmed coronavirus case.
The Siparia Magistrates' Court announced that it would be closing down its physical operations on Friday (July 31) to allow for a sanitization exercise.
According to the court, closing its building is a precautionary measure as the staff member has not tested positive for COVID-19.
While physical hearings and activities will cease, virtual court hearings will continue until further notice, said the court
Currently, Trinidad and Tobago has 169 confirmed COVID-19 cases
