(CMR) Police have confirmed that all seven victims of the shooting incident, which occurred on Sunday, 25 February, at the Ed Bush Field in West Bay, have been discharged from hospital. All seven are expected to make a full recovery.
“On behalf of the community, the RCIPS extends gratitude to our colleagues at the Cayman Islands Health Services Authority for their efforts in administering expert medical care to those injured in the incident,” the police said in a statement on Saturday.
Two men have since been arrested in the shooting as police continue their investigations into the incident which shocked the entire Cayman Islands. This was the first time a mass shooting occurred at a public gathering, with even children present.
The RCIPS continues to encourage anyone with information on the incident to call 9-1-1 or the RCIPS Major Incident Room at 649-2930.
