(CMR) Police have confirmed as of Saturday morning, 2 March, that two men have been arrested in relation to the shooting incident that occurred on Sunday, 25 February, at the Ed Bush Field in West Bay.
The first man, a 24-year-old man from West Bay, was arrested in a police operation on Friday, 1 March, and remains in custody.
The second man was arrested earlier today, 2 March. Officers arrested the man, age 30 of West Bay who also remains in police custody as investigations continue.
As investigations continue, police are seeking a number of other persons who are believed to be connected to the incident. Police have also conducted several searches in the days since the incident occurred.
Proactive operations and searches will continue in the days to come, and members of the public will continue to see an increased armed police presence, particularly in targeted areas, as well as proactive police patrols and vehicle checkpoints.

Persons can also attend their nearest police station or speak directly with a trusted officer.
Additionally, Cayman Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information that leads to the arrest, charge or conviction of individuals responsible for this incident. The Cayman Islands Government has also decided to support this reward with an additional $200,000 toward solving the crime.
