(CMR) Heikie Conolly has been promoted to Security Supervisor, the first ever female Security Supervisor at Charles Kirkconnell International Airport (CKIA).
Conolly has been employed with the CKIA Security team for 21 years with the past four years as a team leader. During this time, she has acted as Supervisor on many occasions.
The Cayman Islands Airports Authority said Conolly is very knowledgeable of all security program, the overseas territories aviation circular and holds the AVSEC Level II Security Certification.
“As the first female Security Supervisor for CKIA in Cayman Brac, I am determined to make a positive impact within the organisation. Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to ensuring the safety and security of all individuals under my care,”Security Supervisor Heikie Conolly expressed.
“I am honored and excited to use my experience and skills to help strengthen the organisation's security program,” she added.
As Conolly take on this role, the security team at CKIA has been bolstered with new members.
According to the CIAA, the Airport Security Unit (ASU) comprises of 85 officers, supervisors and managers diving between ORIA and CKIA. All personnel are qualified at the respective levels of certification required under UK Department for Transport regulations and are recertified annually.
