(CMR) Another 10-story building is expected to be built in Camana Bay after the Central Planning Authority approved Cayman Shores Development's application for the $87 million project.
The new building, which was approved in November, is expected to be built south of the 10-story building, 60 Nexus Way, which opened last year.
The 225,042 sq ft commercial building will include offices, retail, and a restaurant.
The CPA said the property is zoned General Commercial and is situated in transects SD-1 (High-Density Centre and the parking area is in T5 (Neighbourhood Center) of the Camana Bay Planned Area Development. The proposal complies with the transect descriptions and regulations.
Last year when 60 Nexus Way was officially opened, Dart Senior Manager of Project Management, Edward Fitzgerald said, “Developments like this that have attracted acclaim of the International Property Awards and attained sustainability accreditation help position the Cayman Islands as a place where world-class, sustainable infrastructure is the norm rather than the exception. This is something we are committed to continuing,” he said.
