(CMR) Tropical Storm Franklin formed in the Caribbean on Sunday afternoon with winds of 45 miles per hour and could become the season's second hurricane later in the week.
Tropical Storm Watches have been issued for the south coast of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.
Franklin is not the only system now being monitored as Tropical Storm Gert is located several hundred miles east-southeast of the northern Leeward Islands, and Post-Tropical Cyclone Emily is located over the central Atlantic.
