(CMR) Police have recovered three spent casings in their investigation of shots fired early Monday morning, 10 July, in the North Sound Road area of George Town.
Reports from the RCIPS Just after 1:50 am, Monday, a report of shots being fired in the North Sound Road area of George Town was reported to the 9-1-1 Communications Centre.
Officers from the Firearm Response Unit were immediately dispatched to the location and arrived on the scene of the incident within seven minutes of the call being received. After making sure that the area was safe, officers made checks in the nearby area and one spent casing was recovered near a local bar in that area. The officers secured the scene, and subsequently, two spent casings were recovered from the scene during daylight hours while the scene was being processed.
The incident is being investigated by the police, and anyone with information is being encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
