(CMR) William McKeeva Bush appeared in Grand Court on Friday morning before Judge Cheryll Richards to be arraigned. He plead not guilty to two counts of indecent assault against two women at the Ritz Carlton on September 13, 2022.
Some preliminary matters were discussed before Bush entered his not-guilty pleas. His attorney, Dennis Brady, noted that he intended to communicate with the Office of the Director of Public for additional disclosure documents.
The court requested the nature of the disclosure request and when it would be forthcoming. Brady noted that it was in relation to some emails and WhatsApp messages to cover a particular period of time. He indicated that the correspondence would be sent by Monday, April 17.
The court was also informed by the prosecutor's office that two additional charges in the Summary Court will be added to the Grand Court indictment in due course.
However, the prosecutor indicated that this should not delay the arraignment process and Brady agreed he had no objections to proceeding. The charges were then put to Bush that he indecently assaulted a named individual contrary to section 132(1) Penal Code (2022 Revision) on September 13, 2022.

Bush appeared in court with his walker before making his way to the defendant's box, where he heard the charges read to him.
He denied both charges and the matter proceeds to a jury trial on Monday, September 11, 2023, for a period of 7 days, with a case management hearing scheduled for July 13.
External counsel for the prosecution may be involved in the trial.
The protection also requested a further extension of his bail conditions to include a non-contact order with all 12 witnesses either directly or indirectly. He also has $950 on recognizance and his address in West Bay.
