(CMR) Police are looking for a white Honda vehicle said to be involved in a hit and run of a cyclist last night.
Just before 10:15 pm, last night, 7 May, police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Unit to a location on Shedden Road, where it was reported that a man was hit by a white colored Honda 2 door car and received injuries.
The cyclist was travelling on Shedden Road near Mary Street in the west bound lane, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling behind him. The vehicle, which is described to be a white Honda, possibly a Prelude model, left the location and continued west.
The cyclist had visible injuries to his arms and legs. He attended the hospital on his own and was later discharged with what is believed to be non-life-threatening-injuries.
Police are asking for the assistance of the public in locating the vehicle and driver involved in this incident. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
