(CMR) One person has been hospitalized while three others were treated and released following a serious collision on Shamrock Road on Saturday, 23 March.
Reports from the RCIPS that just before 4:30 a.m., police and other emergency services were dispatched by the 9-1-1 Communications Centre to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles, which took place on Shamrock Road in the vicinity of Beach Bay Road. It is believed that one vehicle collided with a light pole and a second vehicle, coming upon the scene, then collided with the disabled vehicle that was just involved in the previous accident.
One of the vehicles had three occupants, and the other had one occupant. The Cayman Islands Fire Service assisted in extracting all four people from the vehicles, and they were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Three people were treated at the hospital and later released, while the fourth person remains in hospital being treated for what is believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
