(CMR) One day after a fatal crash in Cayman Brac, Cayman recorded another road fatality following a crash in Bodden Town early Thursday morning, 21 March. CMR understands that the deceased is a 22-year-old Jamaican man.
According to the RCIPS, shortly before 2:30 a.m., police and other emergency services responded to a report of a collision near the junction of Bodden Town Road and Anton Bodden Drive.
Initial investigations indicate that the vehicle was traveling west along Bodden Town Road when it left the roadway and collided with a tree.
The male occupant of the vehicle sustained serious injuries and was transferred to the Cayman Islands Hospital by ambulance. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by the attending doctor.
The RCIPS expresses its condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. The scene has been processed, and the roadways are open.
