A public transport bus in West Bay collided with a tree and flipped over in the Boatswain Bay area of West Bay.
Exclusive Cayman Marl Road sources inform us that 5 persons were the bus. All 5 persons had to exit through the bus window. Occupants include a mother and young child were on the bus and had to be transported to the hospital for examination and minor treatment. After experiencing this traumatic event we understand they have since been released.
Our eyewitness sources at the hospital further tell us that the bus driver was alleging drinking and possibly inebriated. He initially refused to take a breathalyzer test at the scene but eventually took one at the hospital. One person noted,
He was downplaying the situation as though it was no big deal and everyone was fine.
A social media poster visibly upset said:
there was a 2 yr old ?. I know because my cousin and her husband were in it as well. it was caused by bad driving obviusly , something must be done before it gets worse with these negligent bus drivers. they are responsible for the passengers' lives
