(CMR) A man and a woman are now hospitalized after they were injured in two separate motor vehicle accidents on Saturday, 11 June.
The first crash happened shortly before 3:40 PM on Saturday. Officers responded to a collision at the Butterfield Roundabout involving a grey Toyota Vitz and a white Honda CR-V-EX. The Honda CR-V-EX also collided with a parked Kia Sorento on North Sound Road, in the vicinity of Animal House.
Emergency Services attended the location, and the driver of the Honda was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. She remains in hospital in stable but critical condition.
The driver of the Toyota was uninjured, while the passenger complained of pain and sought medical attention.
The second crash occurred at about 6:10 PM on Saturday, 11 June. Officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on North Side Road, in the vicinity of Suncoast Road, involving a blue Mini Cooper.
Emergency services attended the location, and the driver of the vehicle was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment for what appeared to be serious injuries. He remains in hospital in stable but critical condition. A CMR source said he is paralyzed from the chest down.
