(CMR) The National Hurricane Centre (NHC) is predicting that Tropical Depression 11 (TD11) will become a named storm by Thursday morning.
TD 11 currently has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph. If it develops strength over 39 mph, it will be classified as a tropical storm.
If the storm develops, Tropical Storm Josephine will become the tenth named storm of the year.
The tropical depression is located about midway between Africa and the Lesser Antilles and moving westward. This movement will continue throughout today before it begins a west-northwesterly change.
Based on projections Tropical Storm Josephine is not expected to impact any landmasses.
Models show the system even moving north, which is expected to keep it out to sea before it dies out as an area of low pressure system around Tuesday.
