(CMR) Police have confirmed the identity of the man killed in the suspected hit-and-run on March 22.
The victim was Mitchell Marvin Ryan, age 55, of Cayman Brac.
Officers from the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit were deployed to Cayman Brac on Friday to assist in investigations, which remain ongoing.
Ryan was found dead on Watering Place Road in a suspected hit-and-run just before 4:00 am on March 22. Police and emergency services responded to a report of a man unresponsive in the street near the Esperanza Bar.
They rushed to the scene with a doctor, where the man was pronounced dead.
No vehicle was present at the scene and circumstances strongly suggest a hit-and-run.
Police continue to appeal for anyone with any information about this incident, including anyone in the vicinity at the time who may have seen a speeding or damaged vehicle, to please contact the Cayman Brac Police Station at 948-0331.
