(CMR) The latest numbers out of Jamaica's Ministry of Health and Wellness shows that new COVID-19 infections have been trending down.
However, the country's death toll continues to trend in the wrong direction, with Jamaica inching closer toward 200 fatalities, since the start of the pandemic back in March.
As of Monday (October 26) Jamaica had recorded 38 new COVID-19 infections, with ages ranging from 2 years to 72 years.
Despite St Catherine reporting two more new infections than the parish of Kingston and St Andrew, the KSA continues to be the area with the most new cases, with 3,127 COVID-19 cases.
While new cases have been trending down the country recorded four new deaths, bringing the death toll to 196.
Jamaica has 4,125 active cases of COVID-19, with approximately 20,000 citizens in home quarantine and 115 in hospital.
