(CMR) A 26-year-old George Town woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding after a man was seriously injured with a knife during an altercation on Eastern Avenue on Wednesday.
Reports from the RCIPS are that just before 4 pm yesterday, police and other emergency services were dispatched to a restaurant and bar located on Eastern Avenue, in the vicinity of Godfrey Nixon Way, where it was reported that a man and a woman had an altercation involving a weapon at the location, and this resulted in the man being seriously injured with a knife.
Both parties left the location prior to the arrival of the officers. The man was located on Shedden Road by officers where first aid was rendered until the ambulance arrived in order to transport him to the hospital to be treated for what are believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The woman was located by the officers following a search of the nearby areas and was arrested on suspicion of wounding. She is currently in custody pending further investigation.
