(CMR) A man who was riding his bicycle in the vicinity of Lover's Wall in East End early Thursday morning, 21 December, was robbed by two masked men.
Police said the 9-1-1 Communications Centre dispatched officers to a report of a robbery that had occurred at about 4:50 a.m. on Sea View Road, East End. It was reported that the man was riding a bicycle when two masked men exited a small vehicle parked on the roadside. One of the masked men brandished a hammer at the man on the bicycle while the other masked man was carrying a knife.
The masked men then robbed the victim of a quantity of cash and fled the location in the vehicle, heading west towards George Town. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspect who was carrying the hammer is described as being tall, and was wearing a light-coloured shirt and a hat.
The matter is currently under investigation by Bodden Town CID, and anyone with information is asked to contact 947-2220.
