(CMR) As his trial looms, embattled Member of Parliament McKeeva Bush has reportedly resigned from the PACT Government, leaving a 9-9 deadlock in Parliament.
Bush, in a letter to Governor Jane Owen said, “After much serious and deep consideration I have made the decision not to continue to support the present makeup of government, meaning I can’t support the PACT grouping any longer, as of today the 9th day of November 2023.
“In my opinion, the country is headed in the wrong direction. Our people are hurting like I’ve never seen before,” he added.
Bush was expected to appear in court today, 9 November, for a case management hearing.
