(CMR) The RCIPS has confirmed that investigations indicate that the fire which occurred at the North Side Police Station early yesterday morning, 31 July, was deliberate.
The police said investigations into the incident continue, and officers are following positive lines of inquiry. Anyone with any information which can assist in the investigation is asked to contact the Bodden Town Police Station at 947-2220.
Anonymous tips can be provided directly to the RCIPS via their Confidential Tip Line at 949-7777 or via their website.
Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Cayman Crime Stoppers website.
The fire resulted in major damage to the premises and as a result, the North Side Police Station is not currently operational. For business continuity, calls for service to the North Side Police Station are being forwarded to the Bodden Town Police Station.
Officers will continue to respond to calls for service and conduct all other policing duties in North Side as usual and will operate from the East End Police Station until an alternative location is identified.
