(CMR) Passengers on a British Airways flight from Turks and Caicos to London last week were served Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) after the airline experienced a catering mishap.
The cabin crew reportedly served fried chicken straight from the KFC bucket to travelers on the 12-and-a-half-hour flight, which made a stop in The Bahamas.
A video shared on social media showed flight attendants holding KFC buckets with tongs and handing out chicken to passengers. While some passengers welcomed having KFC, some passengers criticized that vegans were not catered for. Others complain that it was only one piece of chicken per passenger.
Meanwhile, British Airways issued a statement, apologizing to customers for the unforeseen circumstances.
“Our teams sprung into action and made sure our customers had something to eat. We apologize to customers that their full meal service was not available and we had to wing it on this occasion. We're sorry if we ruffled any feathers,” the airline said.
British Airways gave passengers refreshment vouchers when they arrived in London, the airline said.
