(CMR) Two people were held up as they exited their vehicle and forced by armed men into a residence on Anthony Drive in George Town, where they were robbed early Saturday morning.
Police reports are that at about 12:30 am yesterday, 24 June, officers responded to a report of suspicious activity at a residence on Anthony Drive in George Town. Officers attended the location and conducted inquiries.
It was reported that the two persons had just arrived at the location and were exiting their vehicle, when they were approached by two masked men dressed in all black, one of whom brandished a firearm, forced them to enter the residence, and demanded cash.
The men then fled the location in a small, light-colored vehicle with a quantity of cash and personal items.
No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the incident. The men are both described as being between 5’6” and 5’8” in height and were wearing all black with black ski masks and gloves.
The matter is under investigation, and anyone with any information or who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
