(CMR) The police are investigating an early morning shoot-out between several vehicles on West Bay Road in the vicinity of the Westin Hotel that has left one man with life-threatening injuries and in the operating theater Saturday.
Reports are that around 5:00 am, the police were notified of a shooting incident in the area of Westin Resort and Regatta Office Park. The roadway was immediately closed and blocked off.
Exclusive CMR sources have shared that one shooter left one vehicle with the back windshield glass shot out. Sources also noted that a white Honda Civic containing two brothers left one shot. His brother then drove him to the hospital for treatment.
The driver has been arrested and detained for further questioning. Sources revealed that he refused to stop for police when he was transporting his brother.
The police had the roadway secured after the shooting and were observed collecting spent bullet casings.
