(CMR) A Trinidad and Tobago man was killed after he attempted to illegally connect a low voltage power line to his home.
Reports are that at around 11:30 a.m. on Boxing Day the man came into contact with a live electrical line when he illegally connected his home to a low voltage power line.
The man has been identified as a 34-year-old from Palo Seco.
The Heritage Petroleum Company used the occasion to discourage people from putting up illegal electrical connections on the company’s grid; they also expressed condolences to the man’s family.
The company further said it was truly saddened by the tragedy and hopes that the circumstances under which the man lost his life do not reoccur in the future.
