(CMR) On Friday (September 4) The Ministry of Health and Wellness said that Jamaica had recorded 2 new COVID-19 deaths and 74 new cases.
The latest casualties are a 35-year-old man from Manchester and a 81-year-old woman from St Ann bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 29.
According to the ministry, the deceased were said to have comorbidities, namely diabetes, and hypertension.
The 74 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours brings the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 2,896.
They have addresses in Kingston and St Andrew (25); St Catherine (14); St Thomas (five); Manchester (six); St Ann, St James and Westmoreland, one each; and St Elizabeth (21).
