(CMR) One of Jamaica's most wanted men was killed on Wednesday (July 22) in a police operation.
In a tweet, Police confirmed that the wanted man, Delano ‘Prekeh Bwoy’ Wilmot, was killed in a confrontation with the security forces in St James.
The Police are confirming that a wanted man was fatally shot during a confrontation with the security forces in the Amity area of Cambridge, St. James during an early morning operation today.

The police further said an M16 rifle with a magazine containing several rounds of ammunition was seized in the operation.

Wilmot was in October 2019 listed as a wanted man by the police.
Wilmot was said to be responsible for the murder of Mark Williams of Mother Lane and numerous crimes in the parish of St James.
Wilmot was a former member of the notorious Ratty Gang which was responsible for the shooting of two members of the Jamaica Defence Force in St James in 2017.
