Dr. Pavlov Rameau, a former lecturer at the University College of the Cayman Islands, has been granted bail by the Grand Court.
Rameau was denied bail last week in Summary court by Magistrate Kirsty-Ann Gunn on charges relating to images of a child or children in erotic or indecent poses. However, his defense lawyer Prathna Bodden appealed the decision to the Grand Court on Friday and he has been granted bail with several conditions. Defense attorney Prathna Bodden appealed the lower court’s decision before Justice Roger Chapple, who granted bail after hearing objections from senior Crown counsel Nicole Petit.
Rameau, 49 must:

Surrender all passports

Remain at least 100 yards from the airport or seaport

Stop notice to be registered with immigration

Post $10,000 cash security and obtain two sureties totally $20,000

Live and sleep at a specified address

Observe a 9 p.m. -6 a.m. curfew

Wear an electronic monitor

Present himself to the police station daily

Have no contact with the complainant

No contact with anyone under age 17

Remain at least 200 yards from any school

No use of the internet whatsoever
He also faces a charge of using an information and communications technology network to annoy, abuse or harass a named female by requesting indecent photos from her. He is due back in court on January 16th.
