UPDATE:
Three people are in custody following this morning's brutal killing of Andrea Lowe Garwood at the Agape Christian Fellowship Church in Falmouth. The identities are being withheld pending further investigation. One of the individuals in custody is said to be the stepson of the deceased.
(CMR) Members of a church in Trelawny, Jamaica were sent scampering for cover this morning when a woman was shot and killed during worship around 10:30 a.m. Reports are that a man sitting directly behind her opened fire several times before fleeing the scene in a white 2013 Toyota Allion motor car reg. # 0508 JG.
The victim has subsequently been identified as 51-year-old Andrea Lowe-Garwood Stonebrook of an address in Trelawny. Seven months ago her husband was killed in a car accident in Montego Bay. She was an NCB Regional Credit Card Officer at the Montego Bay office.
The description given of the shooter is a man of fair complexion, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, dressed in a red shirt and not wearing a mask. He left behind a cellphone that is now in possession of the police.
The church was live-streaming the service at the time of the incident and captured video shows members of the Agape Christian Fellowship in Falmouth singing when several shots are heard. Persons could then be seen running.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
