(CMR) Family and friends of two Honduran men who went missing en route from Florida to Honduras are appealing to persons to be on the lookout for the men who may be in distress at sea.
Dionicio Sanchez, boat captain, and Christopher Bush, a retired member of the US navy, were on board the M/V Cats Paw on passage from Key West Florida to Guanaja, Honduras. The boat, which was being used to tow another boat, left Florida on May 5 and was scheduled to arrive in Honduras on May 11.
Family and friends reportedly received a message via satellite communicator Garmin in Reach on May 10 from boat Captain Sanchez that the boat had lost an engine. They were approximately 135 miles from Guanaja when the message was sent. No one has heard from them since.
Cayman connections and persons in Florida and Honduras are concerned about the men and are appealing to persons to be on the lookout for their boat at sea.
