(CMR) Popular Jamaican social media influencer Lexian Williams (20) and dancehall artist FreeSpeech (30) were among three people killed in a motor vehicle crash in Trelawny, Jamaica, Friday night.
According to local news reports, Williams, popularly known as ‘Lexi D Bess,' was being transported by Kenroy Smith (25) from her home in Rio Bueno, Trelawny, when the Toyota Mark X motor car in which they were traveling crashed into a Toyota Voxy.
The accident happened shortly after Smith picked her up. It is alleged that Smith ran a red light resulting in the crash.
The driver of the Voxy, Chris Codner of Exchange in St Ann, also died. According to IrieFM, Codner was a Dancehall/Reggae artist known as FreeSpeech.
A tourist who was in the Voxy is among three people hospitalized.
Several persons took to social media to express shock at the passing of Williams who was also a participant in the 876 Roommates reality series.
“I honestly don't believe this: please, someone tell me it's not true. I'm lost for words, Jah no star….my condolences go out to entire families,” one person wrote.
Persons also expressed sadness at the passing of Codner.
“So sad. He was innocently going bout his business, and this man run red light on him just to go party. Probably did all drunk,” one person wrote on Facebook.
