(CMR) Scores of Jamaicans reported feeling the magnitude 3.5quake at around 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning (June 26).
The University of The West Indies, Earthquake Unit confirmed the magnitude 3.5 earthquake .
According to the Unit the earthquake’s epicenter was 15km Southeast of Hellahire, St. Catherine with a focal depth of 13.7km.
This is the second earthquake to shake the island within a month.
Earlier this month on June 14 a magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck near Buff Bay off the eastern coast of the island .
