(CMR) A woman died on Wednesday (July 8) after she tried to escape from the isolation ward at the National Chest Hospital.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force' s Communication Unit (CCU), though confirming the incident, noted that they had no information available.
Information gleaned from a hospital worker is that the woman was trying to escape from the isolation unit when she fell through a vent.
The woman is suspected to have had the coronavirus.
To date, Jamaica has 745 cases of coronavirus with 10 deaths.
