Good afternoon,
As a former student of John Gray High School I cannot sit here and listen to this school being talked down on by its own students! The incompetency and foolery which sometimes occurs in this school is the fault of none other than the students, who go on to blame members of faculty and the government, and it is not right.
The staff of John Gray are some of the most hard working teachers who care deeply about the well-being of the students and try their very best, but due to the behavior of some students it can sometimes seem like an impossible task. The privileges private schools have over public schools is that they can kick out anyone who does not meet their “standard” and so we never hear anything about those schools. Public schools such as John Gray are not allowed to do such things and so behaviors of all kind must be dealt with.
It is unfortunate that a school with an already bad reputation must go through situations like this which do not help their case, especially when the media and society like to make up or twist stories to make it more “entertaining” for them.
Whoever sent in the previous reply should be ashamed at what they are allowing people to believe about their school, when the school has tried only their very best to demonstrate positives. Nobody ever looks at the numerous amounts of students John Gray has produced that start sitting exams as early as year 9, benefiting them tremendously, or the phenomenal music department, or key club, or their prefect body who work to achieve only the best for their school. As soon as one fight happens it’s all eyes and ears thinking “what bad story can we make about John Gray now?” and it has to stop.
