(CMR) Fosters have announced today that due to worldwide shortage of certain disinfectants and hand sanitizers they are limiting the number of products that any one person can purchase to two per customer per product. The shortage has come about as a direct result of the Coronavirus (CoV) 2019 outbreak that has sent persons scrambling to stockpile masks, hand sanitizers, and various disinfectant products.
Despite the run on products, they are not anticipating any long terms shortages as they seek to source alternative suppliers to keep products in stock.
Fosters shared that they which to ensure that products are available to a wide variety of the population and therefore the limit has been implemented. Customers are permitted to purchase different products and the limit is per product per customer. For example, two Clorox Lemon Disinfecting Wipes and two Equaline Hand Sanitizers could be purchased at the same time. The products limited to two (2) per customer are clearly marked on shelves and are listed as follows:
They did stress that their purchasing team is working hard to ensure no price increases are passed on to our customers on products that have a higher than usual demand due to CoV.
Despite numerous rumors, Cayman does not have a confirmed case of COV-2019 as yet.
