(CMR) The trial of embattled Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Secretary McKeeva Bush for charges of indecent assault is expected to begin on 19 February following jury selection on the 12 February.
Bush has been charged with two counts of indecent assault and two counts of common assault stemming from an incident that happened in 2022.
Allegations are that the drunken politician approached several women and engaged in behavior that included unwanted communication, inappropriate touching, and “biting” one individual.
Bush is also expected to stand trial for a decades-old rape case this year. Last June, Bush was arrested and charged with Rape and Indecent Assault in relation to an assault that occurred over 20 years ago.
The former premier has denied these allegations and described the charges as a conspiracy against him.
