(CMR) Lieutenant Theodore Kelly has been promoted to Captain in the Cayman Islands Regiment, a milestone which also coincides with his appointment as Logistics Officer.
“Congratulations to Lt. Kelly on his well-deserved promotion to Captain! Last night marked a milestone in his career as he takes on the role of Logistics Officer. Wishing you all the best in this new chapter—may your leadership continue to shine,” The Regiment stated in a post on social media.
Lieutenant Theo Kelly from Bodden Town was one of the first to join the Cayman Islands Regiment when it was formed. He has since taken on many important assignments, including sailing with the Royal Navy at sea in the patrol ship HMS Medway as part of the UK’s Caribbean Task Group. He was deployed to the Task Group to share his first-hand local knowledge and experience and gain further experience in planning for the region's Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief operations.
Captain Kelly's promotion is also celebrated by his family and friends, with several people sending him congratulations via social media.

As Logistics Officer, Captain Kelly is responsible for the administration and oversight of the logistics in support of all unit activity, including infrastructure and logistic support to the deployment and recovery for all unit operations, in addition to the procurement and through-life maintenance of all vehicles and equipment.
