(CMR) A recall by Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) of batches of Nutramigen Powder due to a possibility of contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria has now been extended to include batches imported from the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Caribbean.
The United States Food and Drug Administration announced a recall on Nutramigen Powder previously; however, on Wednesday, 10 January, it announced it now includes other areas outside the US.
The FDA advisory states that the voluntarily recalled Nutramigen product was manufactured between June 6, 2023, and June 29, 2023, and includes the following batch numbers:
- ZL3FHG (12.6 oz cans)
- ZL3FMH (12.6 oz cans)
- ZL3FPE (12.6 oz cans)
- ZL3FQD (12.6 oz cans)
- ZL3FRW (19.8 oz cans)
- ZL3FXJ (12.6 oz cans).
The products have a UPC Code of 300871239418 or 300871239456 and “Use By Date” of 1 January 2025.
This Cayman Islands Ministry of Health and Wellness is reminding the public to dispose of recalled products properly so that no persons or animals can access them.
