(CMR) The trial of Noel Paul Manning, the man accused of sexually abusing a child over several years from when she was five years old until she was eight years old, will have his trial date for 4 December vacated and a new date set for next year.
The court vacated the trial date after it was revealed that counseling and medical records for the victim were still outstanding. Manning is to return to court on 2nd February.
Allegations are that Manning, who also goes by the names ‘Indian', ‘Doc' or ‘Doctor', sexually abused the child on at least two occasions each Summer between 1 June and 31 August of each year, from 2016 to 2019.
He pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape, eight counts of indecent assault and one count of attempted rape when he appeared in court in July.
