(CMR) Parliament was suspended shortly after it started this morning as MP McKeeva Bush sought an amendment to the motion on a lack of confidence in the government, which was to be discussed.
A motion for the lack of confidence in the government was moved by opposition leader Roy McTaggart and seconded by MP Joseph Hew.
However, Bush asked that it be amended to “the Lack of confidence in the management of the country by the Premier.”
When asked if this change had been discussed with the mover of the motion, it was revealed it was not. McTaggart then asked for the proceedings to be suspended so it could be discussed.
When the House resumed, the decision was taken to proceed with the original motion.
