(CMR) Two Jamaican men who were arrested with approximately 100 pounds of ganja in an abandoned building on Rock Hole Road were found to have recently arrived in the Cayman Islands illegally.
The two men have been identified as Benjamin Carrington (35) and Cedric Bertrum (57).
According to the RCIPS, on Saturday, 23 September, officers in George Town observed two men who appeared to be behaving suspiciously outside an abandoned building on Rock Hole Road. The men were taken into custody on suspicion of drug offenses, and officers subsequently determined that they had recently arrived on island illegally.
The two men have since been formally charged with Importation of Ganja, Possession of Ganja, Possession of Ganja with Intent to Supply, and Illegal Landing.
