(CMR) Nationwide 90FM, a Jamaica media house, was attacked on Friday afternoon by a lone gunman who opened fire at the building.
Reports from the station are that at about 4:30, a gunman on a motorcycle fired several shots toward the Nationwide building located at Bradley Avenue in St Andrew.
Staff members who were in the parking lot at the time of the attack had to run for cover.
Preliminary investigations indicate at least four bullets hit the motor vehicle closest to the gate. Three bullet holes were visible in the rear passenger door of the motor vehicle. One shot hit the front passenger window smashing the glass.
Following the attack, Chief Executive Officer of Nationwide News Network (NNN), Cliff Hughes, says his team will not be intimidated.
“We are not going to be intimidated, we're not going to be distracted from our job. Our job is to report, assess, comment on the affairs of Lady Jamaica, and no, no lunatic is going to have us not do so,” Hughes said.
