(CMR) A Silver Chevy Trax that was stolen from South Church Street Wednesday night, 19 July, just before 9 pm, was found abandoned hours later following a collision in East End.
Officers did a search for the vehicle after it was reported stolen; however, they were unable to locate it at that time. An all-points bulletin was aired for all officers to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicle.
Just after 2 am Thursday morning, police were dispatched to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Seaview Road, East End. When the officers arrived, they identified the vehicle as the one that was aired as being stolen from the George Town address. There were no occupants in the vehicle at the time of their arrival, and no one was found in the surrounding area.
The vehicle was transported from the location and recovered as evidence, and these incidents are being investigated by the police.
