(CMR) A man was taken to hospital with head injuries after another man attacked him with a machete on Shedden Road on Thursday, 22 June.
Police reports are that just after 1:50 PM, police and other emergency services were dispatched to Shedden Road in the vicinity of Mary Street, where it was reported that an assault incident had taken place involving a machete.
Officers from the Firearm Response Unit were dispatched to the location and were directed to the back of a building where a man was being treated by the Emergency Medical Services personnel for head injuries that he sustained during the incident. It was reported to the officers that a second man used a machete to inflict the injuries. He was transported to the Cayman Islands Hospital, where he was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and later released.
