UPDATE: Police have arrested a man in relation to the robbery of a business on Eastern Avenue last week. At about 8:00 pm on Friday, 17 March, officers had reason to stop and search a vehicle in George Town, which was suspected to have been involved in the robbery early that day.
The lone occupant of the vehicle, a 29-year-old man of George Town, was arrested on suspicion of robbery in relation to the incident. He has been granted police bail pending further investigation.
(CMR) The RCIPS is investigating an armed robbery that took place at a business on Eastern Avenue Friday morning, 17 March.
Reports are that shortly after 1 am, officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the business on Eastern Avenue, just north of Godfrey Nixon Way. It was reported that two men, one of whom was carrying a gun, entered the location and demanded cash. The men then fled the location with a quantity of cash. No shots were fired, and no one was injured during the incident.
The culprits are both described as being of dark complexion and medium build. Both were wearing green shirts, dark glasses and had their faces covered.

This robbery comes just days after another business was robbed by an armed man on Monday, 13 March.
