(CMR) Police have confirmed that a man robbed MacDonald's Restaurant on Shedden Road at gunpoint Monday evening, 13 March, and then made his escape on a bicycle.
Police reports are that just after 8 pm on Monday, police were dispatched to reports of a robbery at a restaurant located on Shedden Road in George Town.
It was reported that a man wearing full black clothing, a hoodie, and with his face covered entered the premises and brandished what appeared to have been a handgun. The man approached the cashiers at the restaurant, demanded money, and left the location on a bicycle.
Police attended the location and searched the surrounding areas of George Town in an effort to locate the man, but to no avail.
No shots were fired during the incident, and no injuries were reported. The police are investigating the incident, and anyone with information is encouraged to call the George Town Police Station at 949-4222.
