UPDATED
(CMR) At about 9:30 pm an armed robbery occurred at a 24-hour convenience store on the ground floor of the Trilogy Building on Mary Street in George Town.
Two armed men brandished a gun as they took a quantity of cash from the shop. No injuries were reported and police are now at the scene investigating the matter.
The police have reported that the men then took a quantity of cash from the register and fled on foot.
One of the suspects is described as being about 5’8” tall, of medium build, and was dressed in a dark-colored hoodie, mask and gloves. The other suspect is described as being about 5’10”, of medium build, and was also dressed in a dark-colored hoodie, mask and gloves.
The matter is currently under investigation, and anyone with any information or who saw anything suspicious in the area last night, is asked to contact George Town CID at 949-4222.
